"Day of Decision" Actions TONIGHT

Please join us TONIGHT as we GATHER to show our support for the hard efforts that have been fought for our equality. Groups will RALLY as early as 12:00 noon in East Los Angeles, 6:00 p.m. in Santa Monica and in Down Town Los Angeles and at 7:00 p.m. at the corner of Santa Monica Blvd. and San Vicente Blvd. in West Hollywood. Speeches will be made and our spirits will be focused in one direction and we will start a MARCH through the streets of West Hollywood and Hollywood making our way to the corner of Hollywood Blvd. and Highland Ave. by 9:30 pm. The LAPD will be there assisting us with the closure of the streets.

The Los Angeles Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence have been asked to perform a ritual in the center of Hollywood Blvd in front of the Theaters by the organizers of "Day Of Decision" . Join us and take vows as we say I DO to our community and to each other in a commitment ceremony. Every one is encouraged to wear white and 'Tie the Knot' to create the largest white knot the world has seen.

Gay Employers......How Gay Do I Need No To Be?

I am done with the two job interviews that I had at two places in West Hollywood. When I spoke to the owner of one place he seemed like a cool guy. We spoke for over 45 minutes. Hell even the interview was over 2 hours. I thought for sure I had the job.

Once I got to the restaurant he took me back to the office right away where we talked about everything but the job he had open for a cook. Each time I tried to change the subject and take it into the direction of the job he quickly changed it back. While the conversation was good and down right funny at times, I got tired of it very fast. I guess this is the bad behavior that SOUL JAH was talking about.

Finally he tells me that the job isn’t at the restaurant, but in his home for him and his lover and the other couple that lives there. I thought “ok” and allowed him to go on. He told me what the job would require of me and I had no problems with anything he said. Until he said this, “You will not be paid for your work. We will give you room and board and from time to time we’d like to have sex with the person who works for us.” I nearly fell off my chair from laughing. He went on to say. “Since you’re homeless and have been homeless for sometime, we think this is a great offer. We entertain a lot and you would get to run the entire kitchen. The house is huge and you would be able to use all areas of the house.” I continued to laugh as I reached for my backpack and left. When I reached the door I looked back at him and asked if I had “DUMMY” on my forehead. He replied “no, but you should if you pass this up to sleep on the streets”

The next interview was pretty much the same deal. I did get to work the line for an hour and the guy in the kitchen was impressed that I could run the line with little or no supervision. He asked me where I went to culinary school. I told him I never went to culinary school. In the end I was told by the owner that they are looking for someone with a culinary degree and someone who fits the atmosphere of the restaurant. As I was leaving I saw the waiters and some other staff members. All with great bodies, perfect teeth and pretty hair………A&F BOYS. I thought to myself, who the hell is going to see me, but then I remembered that everyone in the kitchen was the same way.

I don’t get it. I am damn good at what I do. I was better then everyone, including the head chef who was classically trained. The owner even told him that his presentation skills were the best he has seen from him. The one waiter who was the only nice person told the owner that Scott didn’t prepare the plates, I did. He looked at me and said “this looks amazing” but I don’t get the fuckin job?

I guess I should ask for a GYM membership from someone so I could be a pretty boy cook. I should also learn to swish and dish if I am going to work in a gay restaurant.
I don’t get how gay men can say one thing and do the opposite.

The good point in my day so far is that I have been asked to cook three days for a lady who has a chef, but he needs three days off. I will do this gig is two weeks. Until then I will continue to move forward.

As a gay men I here the community YELLING at every opportunity of just how UNFAIR the work place is, how UNFAIR gays are treated and UNFAIR everything is to us. So I guess it is FAIR when the very things we say are UNFAIR are used against other gays when gays do it. That sounds like having your dick and sucking it too.

Boycott MySpace for homophobic cRAP music

My MySpace.com account was deleted when I questioned their sponsorship of homophobic rap "music". It's outrageous that these so called musicians can get away with their vicious attacks on the gay community with impunity. I guess MySpace will tolerate just about anything except criticizm. I'm new at this organizing business. I'd appreciate any help in getting the word out on MySpace censorship and sponsorship of bigotry. Let's organize a boycott.
